Leak Jet Plumbing was built on a simple idea: show up fast, quote honestly, and fix it properly the first time.
Our story
Ronald Mhundwa started Leak Jet Plumbing around a frustration he kept running into on other people's jobs: households being quoted to replace a whole run of pipe when the actual fault was a single failed joint nobody had taken the time to find. Digging first and diagnosing afterwards is expensive, and the customer is the one who pays for it.
So the business was built the other way round. Leak detection and high-pressure drain jetting sit at the centre of what we do because both are diagnostic-first — the equipment tells us where the problem actually is, so the repair is targeted instead of exploratory. From our base in Seawinds we cover Cape Town's Southern Peninsula and the surrounding suburbs, 24 hours a day, because a burst pipe at 2am is not a next-business-day problem.
What hasn't changed: every job gets diagnosed properly, quoted honestly, and fixed to a standard we'd be happy with in our own homes.

Ronald founded Leak Jet Plumbing and still works on the tools. His focus is the diagnostic end of the trade — acoustic and pressure leak detection, CCTV drain inspection, and high-pressure jetting — the work where finding the fault correctly is most of the job, and where guessing costs the customer the most.
That shapes how the business quotes. You get told what is actually wrong, what it will take to fix, and what it will cost, before anyone opens a wall or lifts a paving stone.

What happens if something goes wrong after you've left?
Call us and we come back. Our work carries a workmanship guarantee, and we carry full public liability cover on every job — so if anything on your property is damaged while we're working on it, that's on us, not on you.
Do you only work on emergencies, or scheduled jobs too?
Both — emergency call-outs run 24/7, but the majority of our work is scheduled installations, renovations, and maintenance. Emergencies just tend to be what people remember a plumber for.
How do you price a job if you haven't seen it yet?
We don't — every quote is confirmed on-site or after a clear description of the problem, before any work starts. Phone estimates for anything beyond a simple call-out fee are guesswork, and we'd rather not guess with your money.
