What it costs

As a rough guide: a call-out runs R350–R750, thermostat replacement R300–R600 plus labour, element replacement R1,800–R3,500 including parts, and most standard repairs land between R1,200–R2,500. A full replacement costs more upfront but we'll only recommend it when repair genuinely isn't the better value.

Should I repair or replace my geyser?

If it's the element or thermostat, repair almost always makes sense. If the tank is rusted through or the inner lining has failed, repair is a short-term fix at best — we'll tell you straight which situation applies.

Do you install solar and gas geysers, or only electric?

All three. Solar and gas installations take a bit longer to quote accurately since sizing depends on your household and roof/ventilation setup, but we do both regularly.

How long does a geyser last?

Typically 8–15 years depending on water quality and maintenance. If yours is past 10 years old and showing any of the warning signs, it's worth an inspection before it fails on its own schedule.
